Simply put, the ministry of God Uncomplicated exists to introduce college students to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We are a evangelical Christian ministry with the objective to spread the gospel in an innovative and contemporary manner. Our mission field is college students and faculty attending secular colleges and universities across the nation. Our primary means of accomplishing this is through the use of display advertisements, our website and a Christian Speakers Bureau. The message is simple– to encourage, equip and see lives transformed by planting seeds of faith in the hearts of young people who will boldly take a stand for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The vision God has given us is pretty big and it will take a lot of support from fellow believers who have a heart for this type of outreach. Our ministry focus is based on I Corinthians 3:6– “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”

People today and in particular college students are faced with more complex religious decisions about life than ever before. Students are asking what is truth? Why should I believe in God? With so many religions, which one is the right path to God? Our vision at GU is to to provide biblically-based answers to tough questions and arm students with other sound resources.

In 2010, GU launched a Campus Christian Speaker’s program. The program involves working with Christian men and women who are led to minister to students on campus. A recent event held at Weber State University in September 2010, was a big success with nearly 200 students in attendance. Speakers included Shawn McCraney, host of the television show “Heart of the Matter” and Bobby Porter, a former professional basketball player.

As funds are provided, we publish attention getting full or half page ads in campus newspapers that are viewed by thousands of students and faculty (see sample ads on our website). In addition, our GU website is designed to complement the ads and provide additional resources for Christians or plant a seed of faith in the heart of students who are seeking to learn more about God.

GU is a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian ministry entirely funded through those who share our vision for reaching college students for Christ–individuals, churches, organizations, and foundations. We are also registered with the State of Utah Department of Commerce Division of Consumer Protection.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it was written without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible “alone” is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.

There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.

Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth.

We believe Jesus lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. We believe Jesus rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died.

We believe Jesus ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He, the only mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for His own.

Man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. That historic fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation.

Man’s nature is corrupted, and he is thus totally unable to please God. Every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

The salvation of man is wholly a work of God’s free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in His sight.

It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Spirit to be assured of their salvation from the very moment they trust Christ as their Savior. This assurance is not based upon any kind of human merit, but is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written word.

The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and control are appropriated in the believer’s life by faith.

God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

At physical death the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting glory and blessing.

Jesus Christ will come again to the earth–personally, visibly and bodily–to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
